E3 May 30 to June 1 - the rundown.

lot has dropped in the past three days.  This weekend will likely see a few more trailers, a few more announcements, and (if precedence is anything to go on) a lot of leaks for what we'll see in the press conferences next week.  Before the lull and before the storm, let's do a rundown of E3 2012 so far.

If you're trying to plan your Monday and Tuesday around the press conferences, here's the time and dates for all of 'em.

Every platform everywhere : LEGO Lord of the Rings gets an adorable trailer.

PSP : My copy of Grand Knights History showed up from PlayAsia.  Which is nice - but I really don't see what that has to do with E3.

PS3, 360,Vita, PC : Jet Set Radio's track list was finalized.

PS3, 360 : Rumor has it the Hitman Trilogy is getting an HD collection.

PS3, 360 : Guardians of Middle Earth announced - it's a Lord of the Rings themed MOBA.

PS3, 360, PC : Dishonored gets its first gameplay trailer.

PS3, 360 : This Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance trailer really shows off Platinum Games' additions to the franchise, along with a lot of gameplay.

PS3, 360 : Even without showing any gameplay, this trailer for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 is currently my most-watched trailer this year.  Man those guys know what to do with music - and the fact that Lords of Shadow was pretty damned good makes this all the sweeter.

PS3, 360 : This trailer for Tomb Raider has the more gameplay than we've ever seen for the title, and does more to hype me for it than anything I've seen before.

PS3, 360 : A Lollipop Chainsaw combat trailer appeared.

PS3, 360 : Uninterested in providing me with a sequel to 2009's Wet, Behavior Interactive is making a downloadable Naughty Bear follow-up called Naughty Bear: Panic in Paradise.

PS3, 360 : Some tiny screens appeared for Zone of the Enders HD.

PS3, 360, PC : Skyrim's first DLC will launch on the 360 with timed exclusivity this summer.  It's called Dawnguardit'll cost twenty bucks, and chances are good it'll be totally awesome.

PS3, 360 : The extra areas, enemies, bells and whistles of the (PC) Dark Souls: Prepare To Die Edition will come to consoles this year.

PS3, 360 : All Games Beta somehow snagged the first screenshots (small though they may be) of Dead Space 3.  They heavily reinforce rumors of an ice world and co-op gameplay.

your iPod : Delta Rae's video for Bottom of the River is entirely awesome and you have to watch it I don't care how off-topic it is.

PS3, 360 : The Darksiders II Collector's Edition box art was unveiled.  I can dig it.

"Digital platforms" : where you'll find adorable strategy title CastleStorm - which digital platforms?  I have no idea.

Unknown : CD Projekt RED (of The Witcher fame) is turning pen-and-paper classic Cyberpunk into a video game.  (Again.)

360, PC : The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing has a shitty trailer.

PS3 : Insomniac is actually making a new Ratchet & Clank game - Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault will come to the PlayStation Network later this year.

PS3, Vita : Guacamelee is a beautiful, smoothly-animated, 2-D, brawling, Mexican-themed Metroidvania.  Kick ass.

PS3, 360 : Doom 3 is finally coming to current-gen consoles with the Doom 3: BFG Edition, and I couldn't be happier.  This is one of my all-time favorite games, and it happens to include Doom, Doom II, the Resurrection of Evil add-on for Doom 3 and new content!  Eee!

PS3, 360, PC : EA began teasing Dead Space 3.

PS3, 360, PC : Far Cry 3 gets a pre-E3 teaser trailer.

Vita : Snapshot is announced - it looks only mildly interesting.

Next gen : Rig of Rods' CryEngine 3 mod makes for some real pretty crashes.

PC : Among the Sleep is a horror experience I'm terrified I won't get to play.

* * *

And that's just the past three days - and today's not even over yet!  It's not even 6pm!

So yeah.  E3.  Dig it.

  1. Star Wars 1313: Is it Star Wars + Uncharted = Awesome, or Star Wars + Arkham Asylum/City = Awesome?

    Either way, I'm IN HARD.

  2. Ehhh we don't know enough about it, yet. We've got that the title 1313 means Boba Fett, and it's a third-person something.
